An Urgent Surgery with a High Success Rate

Surgical repair for retinal detachment is the only way to restore vision to the eye, however it is imperative to act quickly once the detached retina is diagnosed. Without treatment, vision loss can progress from minor to severe—even blindness, within a few hours or days. The goals of surgery are to reattach the retina, and to prevent or reverse vision loss.

Cataracts happen when the normally clear lens of your eye becomes cloudy. If you can imagine looking through a blurry fog ALL of the time, you'd have a sense of how impairing this condition can get. Join us at Surgery Squad to help our patient and Dr. Suzi remove a cataract and restore normal site in our virtual interactive Cataract Removal Surgery!

More Information About Cataracts

Cataracts are the number one cause of blindness in the whole world! Consequently, cataract eye surgery is also one of the most common surgeries practiced today.

What Is The Treatment For Cataracts?

The cataract eye surgery procedure removes a clouded lens and replaces it with a clear, soft plastic intraocular lens (IOL), and is the only treatment currently used to restore vision.

How Long Does Cataract Eye Surgery Take?

The procedure takes about an hour, and can be done on an outpatient basis. Cataract eye surgery has evolved into a common, efficient, and successful surgical procedure. Removal of cataracts in one, or both eyes, greatly improves a patient’s vision and independence following surgery. The cost of surgery is going down every year, even as technological advances improve! In 2012, cataract surgery was 34.4% less expensive than in 2000 and 85% less expensive than in 1985.

What is this Dental Procedure about?

Most of us are not born with perfectly straight teeth, but Braces can help straighten crooked teeth and realign offset bites so that you too can have a confident and winning smile. If you’re curious about the process of getting braces on your teeth, read on!

How are teeth straightened?

In this interactive procedure, we will begin by going over which dental issues Braces are used to address, and you will assist in taking an impression of the patient’s teeth in order to create a mold so that we can make custom dental appliances for them. Once the Braces are ready to be used, you will polish our patient’s teeth, and then insert molar bands to ensure the anchoring of the Braces. After that you will use a bonding agent to bond the brackets to each of the teeth. Once all the teeth have been bracketed, you will insert archwire through each bracket to connect them, clip the ends of the archwire for comfort, and apply elastic ligatures so that the archwire will stay in place.

Child birth with epidural anesthesia blocks nerve impulses from the lower spinal segments. In this procedure, medication is delivered through a catheter inserted between the bones of the spine. Our patient will begin to notice the numbing sensation about 10 to 20 minutes after the first dose, however – only a tiny amount of the medication will reach the baby. If you’re one of the over 60% of women who are looking to have an epidural, why not scrub in and help deliver a baby?

Having a gallbladder attach is a painful experience for anyone. The gallbladder is a small organ in the body that stores bile which is created by the liver. While the body is digesting fats, the gallbladder sends bile through the common bile duct into the small intestine where it aids in digestion. Occasionally the bile can harden into pieces, called gallstones, which can block the bile duct. In these cases, a patient will likely have pain, nausea, and/or vomiting. During this interactive procedure, you will learn what you need to know about laparoscopic gallbladder surgery, known to doctors as a Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, and carry out a laparoscopic gallbladder removal.
